God has been working miracles in Santiago, Dominican Republic! After four successful Crusades, one in 2004, 2005 and another in 2007, the 2010 Hope and Destiny Mission was anointed by God to be back in the Dominican Republic for another 3-day Crusade at the City’s Monument.

When our Hope and Destiny Crusade went to the DR in 2004, we held a 3-day crusade in Santiago’s baseball stadium and through that Outreach we established the first Santiago Teen Challenge Men’s program.  That TC Center has now been awarded “model program” by the government of the Dominican Republic.

Then in 2007 we held a 3 day Rock the Block Crusade in the heart of the city known as the “Monument” ; the central landmark known to be where hundreds of young people hang out. Through that mission we established our first Teen Challenge Ladies’ home. With the DR being the 4th worst country for prostitution, this center was an answer to prayers for many homeless and distraught women looking for a way out of their destructive lifestyles.

Our last Crusade in July 2010 was miraculous! It was held at the Monument, Thursday, July 8th through Saturday, July 10th with Santiago Teen Challenge and the Coalition of Churches from the Dominican Republic. The Monument is the central landmark in the city of Santiago where hundreds of young people hang out. We set our staging, sound system, lights and media screens on the large parking lot at the foot of the Monument and each night of the crusade the parking lot was packed with people. Every night multitudes came out. In fact, Friday night there were over 15,000 people and 70% of them were youth. Each night, when I gave an invitation to receive Christ, at least half of the crowd raised their hands, including hundreds of people who were on the side of the hill of the Monument. At every alter call I lead the entire crowd in a prayer to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. It was powerful and divine!
